The central laboratory of University of Bonab was established in the spring of 2012 to organize and optimize the efficiency of advanced laboratory equipment and provide easy and equal access to laboratory facilities, as well as exchange of information between researchers inside and outside of the university.
The central laboratory placed the university's central site. However, there are some other advanced equipment available at other colleges where they can share their services under the supervision of this lab. This laboratory is under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor of Research and all services are provided with the specific tariff approved by the University. The central laboratory, in addition to faculty members and students at University of Bonab, is ready to provide laboratory services to researchers and other non-university students.

The Composite Materials Laboratory is an educational and research facility equipped
for the fabrication, testing, and analysis of composite materials. The Composites Laboratory initiates research on all aspects of the manufacture and processing of composite materials
. Research within the laboratory also focuses on green composite materials processing
The lab provides support for research projects related to composite materials
and also for a laboratory course on composite materials characterization.

from across the world. You can join us through programs such as individual university partnerships, MEVLANA exchange program, or as an independent applicant.
International visiting students
can research with us for less than or up to twelve weeks and they will not be charged a fee and are not subject to pay for accommodation.

“Fluid Mechanics Laboratory” is one of teaching labs of Mechanical engineering department. This is one of the major courses of B.Sc. program in Mechanical engineering, and its perquisite courses are Fluid Mechanics 1 & 2. In Fluid mechanics lab, behavior of compressible and in-compressible fluids, i.e. Water and Air, is experimentally observed, and related analytical concepts are reinforced. The Control Engineering Lab is one of the essential Labs for Electrical Engineering program. This lab experiments are related to:
- Real-time Linear Control Systems including: Servomotor, Magnetic levitation system, Coupled-tanks, Heat transfer system & PID analog boards
- Automation & Industrial Control experiments such as: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) of Siemens S7-300 stand-boards equipped with Sensors, Valves and Induction motors (IMs)
- Robotics and Instrumentation facilities such as: Small robots, Sensors, Arduino & Microcontroller boards
The Electronic Laboratory at University of Bonab operates as a part of the Department of Electrical Engineering, concentrating its activities on the design and implementation of Analogue, Digital and mixed-signal circuits to our Engineering students, for General Purpose Applications (GPA) and complex system design.

The workshop was launched in 2015 with the proposal of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The workshop includes equipment such as chassis and body of Samand, transmission system, brake system and gearbox.
In this workshop, the student will be familiar with how all types of engines and power transmission systems, steering, brakes, gearboxes and combustion systems operate.
The workshop includes:
- Chassis & Frame: Layout of chassis & its main components, types of frames, Conventional frames & unitized Chassis.Suspension system: Objects & principles of suspension system, Types, Rigid axle & Independent suspension for front & rear ends, Simple & double arm parallel & perpendicular type of suspension system, Gas filled suspension system.
- Clutches: Characteristics, Functions, Principles of operation of clutch, Friction clutch: Single plate, Multiplate, Centrifugal clutch, Positive clutch, clutch lining materials. Torque transmitted and related problems.
- Gear Box: Object of Gear Box, Air, Rolling & Gradient resistance, Necessity of Gear Box: Tractive effort variation with speed, Types of Gear Boxes: Sliding mesh, Constant mesh, Synchromesh, Automatic transmission, Overdrive, Lubrication of gear box. Torque converter: Principles of working, characteristics, Torque converter with direct drive, testing of automobiles.
- Brakes & Braking system: Purpose, Principles, Layout of braking system. Classification: mechanical, Hydraulic brakes, Master cylinder, Tandem master cylinder, wheel cylinder, S elf energizing & selfdjusting brakes, Disc brakes, Antiskid brakes. Power operated brakes.
- Differential: Functions, Single & double reduction differential, limited slip differential.

The vibration laboratory helps students to improve their abilities to formulate and analyze vibration problems by using different types of techniques and sensors. This lab increases students’ experience and technical knowledge concerning various related equipment.
This course focuses on the study of vibration in mechanical systems which is concerned with the fluctuating motions of bodies and the forces associated with them. In this course, students will get an understanding of the nature and behavior of dynamic engineering systems and the capability of applying the knowledge of science, mathematics, and engineering to solve engineering vibration problems.

Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by causing fusion. Pressure may also be used in conjunction with heat, or by itself, to produce a weld. Welding also requires a form of shield to protect melted metals from being oxidized. Welding workshop at the mechanical engineering department was established in 2012. This workshop is equipped with shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and consist of 8 welding cabins made of bricks. Cabins are also equipped with a central ventilation system. There are five 500 Amp Rectifier Arc Welding Machine made by Gamm Electric Co in this workshop. Students taking welding workshop course are working in a team of 2 in each cabin.
